PIZZA SCAMMERS BE AWARE! posted by Jonathan on 10.20.2007

We've been noticing that half of the pizza we purchase for our Wednesday meetings is walking right out the door with people choosing not to stay for the actual meeting.

This stops NOW.

From this day forward, anyone who wishes to take pizza and not stay fo the meeting must pay for the pizza. The cost will be $1.00 USD per slice.

We believe this should come as no suprise to those who have been taking advantage of our pizza offerings. Its time to start being respectful to those who thanklessly provide for you. Yes I'm talking about us, the IEEE at WMU. Pizza will, of course, remain free to people who stay for the meetings.

Think of it this way: delicious pizza, soda/pop, and a presentation for FREE. Or, $1.00 USD per slice of pizza, 1 cup of soda/pop, and no presentation / networking oppertunity / leadership skill building / etc. The choice is yours. We accept cash only.

We're Building a Kegbot! posted by Jonathan on 10.07.2007

We've all heard of a kegerator so what is a Kegbot? A Kegbot is a beer kegerator equipped with tracking and access control devices. You can track how much people drink, control when they may drink, track costs and charge people different amounts, and see how much beer is left in your keg.

We'll be building one based on the project linked to below. If you wish to become involved, come to our weekly meeting and speak with an officer. We'll need hardware and software developers as well as Mechanical Engineer types for the refridgeration work. Yes, we will need people to test the kegbot as well!
